Everything You Need to Know About Incred Golf

What is Reverse Face Balanced®?

Reverse Face Balanced® (RFB) is a patent-pending putter design where the centre of gravity is positioned in front of the shaft. When you balance the putter on your finger, the face points toward the ground — the opposite of every traditional putter. This forward weight creates a "hammer effect" that actively squares the face through impact, producing immediate topspin and dramatically reducing face twist on mishits. It is the fourth balance category in putter design, after face balanced, toe hang, and zero torque. Learn more about RFB technology.

What does "500% more forgiving" mean?

In independent robotic testing conducted by Blair Philip — a 30-year putter designer who has worked at PING, YES! Golf, and Adams Golf — the Incred RFB putter showed just 0.1° of face twist on half-inch mishits, compared to an average of 0.52° across the best-selling putters tested (TaylorMade Spider, Odyssey, Scotty Cameron, Ping, L.A.B. Golf). That is approximately 4-5 times less twist, which we describe as 500% more forgiving. Ball speed retention on mishits was 99%+. See the full testing data.

How much do Incred putters cost?

Every Incred putter is custom built to order. There are three tiers: Custom ($799), Premium ($999), and Bespoke ($1,999). All three tiers use the same engineering and RFB technology — the difference is in materials and finish level. Every putter is hand-milled and built to your exact specifications: head shape, face material, length, loft, lie angle, and grip. Browse the RFB Series.

Which RFB model should I choose?

The RFB Series includes four models: the Black Mallet (highest forgiveness, most popular with senior golfers), the SK1 (fang-style head, our most popular overall), the Blade (compact profile for golfers who prefer a traditional look), and the Star. All four use Reverse Face Balanced® technology with the same performance characteristics. Your choice depends on visual preference and alignment style.

Steel face or copper face — which should I choose?

Steel delivers a firmer feel with crisp feedback — preferred by golfers who want to feel every strike and play on medium to slow greens. Copper is slightly softer with a warmer sound and develops a natural patina over time — preferred by golfers who play fast greens (stimp 10+) and value a softer touch. Both materials deliver the same RFB performance characteristics.

Is there an adjustment period?

Yes — about 3 to 5 putts. The forward-weighted feel is different from any putter you've used before. The RFB's natural pendulum motion takes a brief recalibration. Teaching pros consistently report that golfers hit their stride within 5 putts. Casey Barbie, a teaching pro at UNF Golf Complex, said: "After you take about five putts with it, you're like, I don't want to putt with anything else."

How does the RFB compare to L.A.B. Golf putters?

Both are alternatives to traditional putter design, but they work differently. L.A.B. Golf uses lie angle balancing (zero torque) to eliminate rotational forces — the face maintains whatever angle it had at address. Incred's RFB positions the centre of gravity in front of the shaft, which actively squares the face through impact. In Blair Philip's robotic testing, the Incred Black Mallet rolled 77% better than L.A.B. on centre strikes with 14% lower skid. Blair's attestation noted that L.A.B. putters showed "alarming face twist and ball speed decrease on heel mishits."

How does the RFB compare to a Scotty Cameron?

Scotty Cameron putters are beautifully milled blades and mallets with excellent feel — they're the most popular putters on the PGA Tour for good reason. But they use traditional weight distribution with the centre of gravity behind or on the shaft axis. In Blair Philip's robotic testing, conventional putters (including the Scotty Cameron Phantom 5) showed 0.3-0.9° of face twist on half-inch mishits. The Incred RFB showed 0.1°. On ball speed retention, the Scotty lost measurable speed on toe and heel strikes — the RFB retained 99%. A Scotty Cameron rewards a perfect stroke. The Incred RFB delivers consistent results even when the stroke isn't perfect. Both are custom-built to high standards. The difference is in the physics of what happens at impact. How long does it take to receive my putter?

Every Incred putter is built to order. After you place your order and confirm your specifications, the build and delivery process typically takes 2-4 weeks depending on the model and customisation level. Contact us for current lead times.

Who is Blair Philip?

Blair Philip is a 30-year putter design veteran who has designed over 200 putters. He has worked at PING Golf, YES! Golf, and Adams Golf, and co-founded BGT Stability Shafts. He was the first professional in the US to use the Quintic Ball Roll Analysis system. He conducted independent robotic testing of Incred putters against 11 of the best-selling putters on the market. His verdict: "This is the best performer. Very clean data from something well engineered." Read his full testing report.

Can I try an Incred putter before buying?

Yes. We run demo events and personal fittings, particularly during our founder's US visits (Florida and Northeast). We also offer a demo program for qualifying customers. Get in touch to arrange a fitting or learn about upcoming demo events.
